Popular Nigerian Fuji musician, Remi Aluko, has revealed that he has lost his sight.
Speaking in a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, the singer explained that he has been battling glaucoma for several years.
Providing an update on his condition, Remi Aluko, who previously underwent eye surgery, said “there’s no difference between me and a blind person.”
“I’m a glaucoma patient. I’m managing myself; I’m currently not seeing. Despite being a glaucoma patient, many people don’t know. There’s no difference between me and a blind person now, but no one knows because I don’t let my condition weigh me down.
“Thank God that I know how to take care of myself like someone who can see. I decided not to dwell on my condition because I don’t want to be depressed,” he said.
He added that although he is now blind, he remains determined not to allow the condition to affect his outlook on life.
