Citizens of Oshigbudu in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State were helpless as an inferno caused a tanker explosion today, Sunday burnt houses, vehicles, and other vehicles in the community, Njenje Media News reports.
According to reports, a fully-loaded tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit fell at the Oshigbudu-Obagaji junction, spilling its content, which went up in flames, putting the Oshigbudu community in a terrible situation at the moment.
Unconfirmed reports claimed persons were burnt beyond recognition.
Mr. John Ikwolono, the Vice-chairman of Agatu Local Government, while confirming the sad incident, said:
“Those who have contacts of fire service should please reach out to them to save this unfortunate situation.
