*OHANAEZE NDIGBO RECEIVES IGBO CHARTER REPORT ON STRATEGIC NATIONAL ENGAGEMENT*

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide on Wednesday, May 27, 2028, formally received the report of the Igbo Charter of Strategic Engagement for National Development at its National Secretariat in Enugu.

The report, prepared by the committee chaired by Professor Kingsley Moghalu, was received by the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator Azuta Mbata, alongside members of the Global Executive Council (GEC) during its official session.

Other members of the Moghalu led committee at the presentation were Igwe Ambassador Lawrence Agubuzo, 1st Deputy Chairman and Chief Enyinnaya Onokala, Secretary.

Presenting the report, Professor Moghalu expressed appreciation to the President-General and the GEC for the confidence reposed in the committee, describing the assignment as “historic” and reflective of the Igbo worldview within the Nigerian context.

He noted that the report also contains a special compendium titled “Igbo Builders”, which documents the contributions of 125 distinguished late Igbo leaders from various fields, whose legacies significantly advanced the progress of Ndigbo and Nigeria at large.

Professor Moghalu further commended members of the committee for their dedication, commitment, and support throughout the assignment.

In his response, the President-General, Senator Azuta Mbata, commended the committee for what he described as an outstanding, patriotic, and visionary effort. He assured the committee that the recommendations and outcome of the assignment would receive due attention and would greatly contribute to the advancement of Ndigbo and national development.

Senator Mbata further thanked the committee on behalf of the Global Executive Council and the entire Igbo nation.
