Osun Governor Adeleke Says Dancing Will Not Affect His Performance or 2026 Ambition
Njenje Media News

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has declared that he will continue dancing proudly, maintaining that his well-known love for energetic dance moves does not in any way hinder his responsibilities as governor. The governor, often referred to across social media as “the dancing governor,” has faced repeated criticism from political rivals who argue that his public displays of joy reflect a lack of seriousness in office.

In an exclusive monitoring of his appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Njenje Media News reports that Adeleke dismissed such criticisms as baseless and insisted that his dancing neither distracts him nor diminishes his commitment to governance.

“I will keep dancing because I love to dance, I love to praise my God, and that doesn’t change anything,” Adeleke said during the interview. “So, I will still dance, praise my God, and do my work.”

Adeleke, who is seeking re-election in 2026 under the Accord Party, stressed that his joyful personality should not be mistaken for a lack of competence. According to Njenje Media, the governor maintained that his administration’s achievements speak for themselves and that voters are more concerned about results than appearances.

Political observers told Njenje Media News that Adeleke’s remarks reflect his strategy of embracing authenticity while projecting confidence in his governance record, despite sustained opposition criticism.
