Two Senators from Osun State elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adenigba Fadahunsi (Osun East) and Olubiyi Fadeyi (Osun Central), have publicly declared continued support for President Bola Tinubu and endorsed his reelection in 2027.
Addressing journalists in Osogbo on Thursday, both lawmakers praised President Tinubu for his impactful interventions in their districts and his commitment to national development.
Senator Fadeyi said President Tinubu’s administration had significantly contributed to Osun Central’s development. “From establishing the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies in Iragbiji to installing a 300MVA transformer at the Osogbo Substation, and commencing work on a 2x60MVA substation in Ila-Orangun — these are major gains,” he noted. He added that Tinubu also promised to upgrade the Nigeria Police Training School in Ila-Orangun to a full-fledged Police Academy for the South-West.
Fadeyi, who chairs the Senate Committee on Environment, assured that Osun Central residents would mobilise support for Tinubu in 2027.
Similarly, Senator Fadahunsi commended the President for approving funds in the 2025 budget for reconstructing the Ibadan–Ilesa Expressway, a vital economic corridor. He also acknowledged federal backing for several medical and educational projects in Osun East, including a proposed Federal School of Nursing in Ijebu-Jesa, a Federal Orthopaedic Hospital in Obokun, and a Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Ile-Ife.
“President Tinubu has shown genuine concern for our people’s welfare. We believe these projects will improve healthcare and boost the local economy,” Fadahunsi stated.
Both Senators emphasised that their renewed support for Tinubu is rooted in the tangible benefits his administration has delivered to Osun State.
