A former gubernatorial candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in Oyo State, Oyedele Hakeem Alao has declared his interest to contest the gubernatorial election in 2023.
Alao, who was the gubernatorial candidate of AD in 2019, declared that he will be contesting on the platform of APC in 2023.
He made this disclosure on Monday during a meeting with his zonal and local government coordinators from the 33 local government areas of the state.
While addressing the gathering, Alao appealed to his supporters to see other gubernatorial aspirants in APC and their supporters as comrades.
He condemned the continued vandalization of campaign billboards, alleging that some hoodlums are behind the act.
Alao explained that members and supporters of APC in the state have been subjected to harassment, molestation and intimidation by the hoodlums.
He said thugs are daily descending on members of the public who choose to associate or put on anything with the logo of APC on it
