Peller’s age does not matter. He might be just 20, but his talents have opened doors for him, and he could employ 80 year olds. Yes, it doesn’t matter if they have Masters degrees or they are professors, if he has good job offers, those who are qualified will jump at it, and if they are taken, they should be proud to do the job and get the pay.
We can’t only work for those we are older than or those who are educated enough. If it is so, then, many of the job openings in the world would be unfilled. Professors are working for LGA chairmen who barely finished primary school and doctorate degree holders are proud to clean the shoes of uneducated criminals who rigged their ways to power.
Peller has a good talent. He could qualify as a prodigious. He has a verifiable means of income and his wealth is traceable. It is more honourable working for Peller as a PhD holder or even as a professor than working for a politician, whether he is governor, President or Senator whose academic history is shrouded in controversy and whose wealth is even more embarrassing.
Lamine Yamal just clocked 18, but I am sure he has people who are qualified enough to be his grandparents as his employees, and there would be many highly educated people who take salaries from him. Entertainers, sportspeople and others like them, could come about money early, and they can only keep those monies and game if they get qualified people to manage them. There are millions of people and thousands of top agencies and establishments who are ready to take those jobs. And I tell you, working for such people is more dignifying than many other jobs out there.
Peller should be commended for exposing the hollowness of our educational system. People go to school, just to hold the certificates and qualify for jobs. Very few of them have the mental and emotional development which higher education should equip people with. They are just in school, because everyone is going to school. Some of them even come out with a first class, yet, in the true sense of it, they are uneducated.
Peller has shown that even though he dropped out, allegedly, from college, he is better educated than many of those who parade top educational certificates.
His advertisement for job openings for “camera holders” was satirical, and a mentally developed college boy should have picked it out. It was easy to discern that Peller wasn’t really interested in hiring anyone, but was “creating content” and at most, trying to expose the embarrassment that some certificate holders could be.
Someone who holds a merited Masters degree would have no business applying for a job where they are expected to do nothing but stand around as some kind of “status props” for another person. It is either those who applied for the job paraded fake Masters degrees or they are some of those who shouldn’t have got one in the first place.
If the young entertainer had advertised for someone who holds a Master’s degree in photography or cinematography, there wouldn’t be anything wrong, for even doctorate degree holders to apply. But for someone to ask you to come without skills sets, just to hold cameras for him, he wanted to expose your hollowness and those who attended the interview, got what they deserved.
Maybe, there could be legal angles to using people’s images without their permission. That’s the area where Peller’s lack of sound education might come to haunt him if those guys press charges. But, you can’t be sure that Peller doesn’t have a SAN in his payroll.
Peller’s bullets hit the mark, and that’s on the rot in our educational system and the embarrassment that many educated people have become. Would you be proud to say that Peller, with his primary school certificate is not better educated than those old people with Master’s degrees whom he set before the camera to make a mockery of their education? I won’t say so.
