National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi has visited a Nigerian Air Force facility in Abuja to formally sign the condolence register following the recent aircraft crash.
Obi disclosed the visit in a statement, saying it provided an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by personnel of the Armed Forces and other security agencies.
“Further to my message yesterday, I visited the Nigerian Air Force facility in Abuja today to formally sign the condolence register following the unfortunate aircraft crash,” Obi said.
He described members of the security forces as “courageous Nigerians” who put their lives on the line to defend the country and protect its citizens.
“The visit gave me another opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made daily by the men and women of our Armed Forces and other security agencies in the line of duty,” he said.
“These courageous Nigerians put their lives on the line to defend our nation and protect our people. We must never take their service and sacrifice for granted.”

Obi also expressed condolences to the Nigerian Air Force and the families, colleagues and loved ones of those who died in the crash.
“I extend my deepest condolences to the Nigerian Air Force and to the families, colleagues, and loved ones of those who lost their lives,” he said.
He prayed for the departed and their bereaved families, while also asking for continued protection for security personnel serving across the country.
