A senior All Progressives Congress (APC) figure, Alhaji Hassan Alwan, has accused several governors and ministers in the ruling party of lacking genuine support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, Alwan said that while many top officials publicly pledge loyalty, their actions suggest a shallow commitment to Tinubu’s leadership and policies.
“Despite public declarations of support, the actions of some governors and cabinet members indicate a lack of true commitment to Tinubu’s administration and policies,” he said.
Alwan added that numerous officials appear more focused on advancing their personal political ambitions ahead of future elections than on advancing the president’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.
Warning that such internal disloyalty could undermine party unity and hurt its electoral prospects, Alwan called on APC stakeholders to set aside personal interests and work together in support of the president and the party’s objectives.
