Soldiers allegedly kill Biafran National Guard Gunman, recover vehicles, weapons

Nigerian Army says it has successfully demobilized and killed one of the Biafran National Guard that attacked it’s troop at Amaekpu, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia state, Njenje Media News reports.

This was contain in a statement signed by the Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu.

The Army said the assailants who were heavily Armed, opened fire on the troops “Exercise Golden Dawn’ location, but were met with stiff resistance by it’s personnel.

It said the troops neutralized one gunman, while others abandoned their vehicles and escape with bullet wounds

At another location, the Army said the gunmen were also intercepted at Eda by troop of Forward Operations Based Ohaozara in Ebonyi state.

Items recovered from the assailants were One Pump action gun, three vehicles and apprehended one of the gunmen.
