A football coach, Bankole Oginni, has reportedly killed his Ex-lover, and removed his intestine, NjenjeMediaNews reports.
According to the police, Bankole Oginni had confessed to killing the woman, whose identity was yet to be revealed. He also stated that he removed her intestine because of fear.
The suspect was said to have tied the deceased up and dissected her body. He then harvested her intestine to use it as a charm.
The Police Commissioner, Mr Undie Adie, has vowed that the suspect will face the full wrath of the law. He also warned other criminals to desist from such acts or face severe consequences.
The Ondo State Government has also condemned the gruesome act and has promised that justice will be served.
The Ondo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs Bolanle Ogunmola, has also called for justice to be served in the case. She stated that such acts of violence against women must be condemned and that perpetrators must be brought to justice.
The police urged anyone with information that will help in their investigation to come forward.
