PRESS STATEMENT
VILLAGE BOYS MOVEMENT CALLS ON ALL MEMBERS & NIGERIANS TO UTILISE INEC’S EXTENDED VOTER REGISTRATION PERIOD
The Village Boys Movement (VBM) warmly welcomes the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to extend the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise until Sunday, 26th July 2026. This extension presents another valuable opportunity for every eligible Nigerian to secure their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and participate in shaping the future of our nation.
We therefore direct all VBM State Headmasters, Local Government Coordinators, Ward Leaders, Diaspora Support Groups, and every member across the federation to immediately intensify grassroots mobilisation efforts. This additional period must not be wasted.
Our members are encouraged to:
Register if they are eligible and have not yet done so.
Mobilise family members, friends, neighbours, colleagues, and community members to register.
Assist first-time voters in understanding and utilising INEC’s newly introduced online self-service registration platform, which becomes available from 8th July 2026.
Continue peaceful voter education and awareness campaigns in every community across Nigeria.
The Village Boys Movement firmly believes that sustainable national transformation begins with active civic participation. Every eligible citizen must understand that a Permanent Voter’s Card is not merely an identification document, it is the instrument through which Nigerians exercise their constitutional right to determine the direction of their country.
We commend INEC for extending the registration exercise and introducing technological innovations aimed at making voter registration more accessible and inclusive.
This is a call to action for every Village Boy and Village Girl. Let us seize this opportunity to ensure that no eligible voter within our reach is left behind.
Register. Mobilise. Participate. Nigeria’s future begins with your PVC.
Signed
