The Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport built by the administration of Gov. Willie Obiano is set to be officially commissioned tomorrow as earlier planned, Njenje Media News reports.
According to the Anambra State Information Commissioner, Mr. Don Adinuba, the elephant project, in which the governor said that the airport has the longest runway in Africa, with the best fire fighting equipment and tallest control tower in Nigeria, will now be available for use.
Governor Willie Obiano, who went to Abuja this morning is back in the state, returning with every necessary paper and even more.
According to reports, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), which had earlier demobilized its equipment, is right now re-mobilizing.
The governor had earlier this month said that the projects would put Anambra on the pedestal of economic prosperity upon its completion.
