Deputy Controller Of NCoS Suspended Over Job Scam

Abubakar Mohammed Sani, a Deputy Controller of Corrections (DCC) has been suspended by the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) for his involvement in recruitment fraud.

In a statement released by NCoS spokesperson, DCC Austin Njoku, the suspension of Sani takes immediate effect.

Njenje Media News reports that Mohammed Sani had been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a six count charge if conspiracy and false pretence.

The NCos spokesman further explained that with the approval of the Civil Defence, Corrections , Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) , the NCoS had on October 26, 2020 also suspended Abubakar Mohammed Sani for a gross misconduct allegation levelled against him.

The statement obtained by Njenje Media News, quoted the Controller-General of Corrections, Mr Ja’afaru Ahmed warning that the NCos would not take lightly cases of misconduct against his personnell. He said that not long ago, CDCFIB approved the outright dismissal of 7 Senior officers over misconduct.

The Controller General further called on the populace with cases of misconduct against it’s personnel to forward it to his office for disciplinary actions.
