Ibadan-based socialite, Olaleye Ajibola, more known as Gatuso has been murdered by gunmen suspected to be Rodger, Njenje Media News reports.
He was killed on Saturday, January 25, 2021 at the Town House Hotel, Ibadan Oyo State when he arrived at the hotel with some of his friends and he ran into the robbers, who were on the run after stealing valuables belonging to employees and guests. The gunmen seeing Ajibola making a call, suspected he might be doing that to get them, shot him at a very close range.
The Oyo State Police Command spokesperson, Olugbenga Fadeyi, in his own account said the gunmen had arrived the hotel pretending to be guests.
In his words;
“Teslim Akinpelu, aka Gatuso, was shot dead by four armed men at Town Hotel, NTC, Iyaganku, around 12.45am. The gunmen pretended to be lodgers before carrying out their evil intention.” he said.
Ajibola who was said to be planning to propose to his girlfriend on Sunday, January 24 had his body now deposited in the mortuary.
