Igbo Business Leaders Celebrate Zobis CEO for Sun Newspaper Industrialist of the Year Award

Following Chief John Ezeobi’s recognition as the Sun Newspaper Industrialist of the Year, congratulations have poured in from leading industrialists, business executives, and corporate organisations in Anambra State, praising the award as a well-deserved acknowledgment of youthful excellence, consistency, and the growth of indigenous industry.

Chief Ezeobi, Chairman and CEO of Zobis Electrical Wires and Cables Limited, became the youngest Nigerian and the youngest Anambra indigene to win the prestigious 2025 award at the Sun Awards ceremony held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos. The accolade highlights his role as a leading figure in Nigeria’s manufacturing sector and a symbol of the emerging generation of African industrialists.

Prominent figures lauded his achievement. Sir (Dr.) Kevin Chukwumobi, Chairman of Apams Funeral Ltd, said the recognition inspires Nigerian youths and reflects Chief Ezeobi’s impact on job creation and economic growth. Mr. Agwu Kester Okike, Managing Director of Tastia Restaurant, Bakery and Café, praised his resilience, innovation, and commitment to building a reputable industrial brand advancing Nigeria’s manufacturing sector.

Globus Group described the award as validation of his industry influence, while Owelle Okija, Ichie Ken Chimezie Nwankwo, prayed for his continued health and success. Dr. Gideon C. Osi of Gosima Group emphasised the recognition as evidence of his visionary leadership and contribution to national industrial development.

Chief Polycarp Obiukwu of Bolton White Group called it a reflection of years of vision, hard work, and measurable impact. High Chief Kenneth Ifekudu described him as a visionary leader shaping Nigeria’s industrial landscape. Sir Chidiebere Mbanefo noted the award reflects not only business success but also integrity, discipline, and dedication to sustainable development.
