IGP Tells Nigerians Not To Flaunt Their Wealth On Social Media

Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu has advised Nigerians in fresh directives and security tips to ensure peaceful yuletide, Njenje Media News can report.

In a message today, Thursday, December 24, the IGP urged Social Media users to be wary of flaunting their wealth online and further directed officers to protect citizens on major highways, airport, railway stations, recreational centers, motor parks, places of worship, financial institutions to make sure there is a crime free festive season.

Part of the statement reads;

“The IGP enjoined Nigerians to take precautionary measures to reduce exposure to security risks and the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic.He stressed that citizens should avoid night travels, over-speeding, over-loading, stopping on lonely highways and unnecessary flaunting of personal details/wealth on social media,”.
