Iran is holding a mass funeral today for 165 schoolgirls and staff who were killed in a February 28 attack on a girls’ school in Minab. The strike, involving tomahawk cruise missiles reportedly launched by the U.S. Navy, claimed the lives of the students and their teachers.
Iran has described the incident as a joint United States-Israel attack. The Israeli military, however, has denied knowledge of any strikes in the area. During its operations in Gaza, Israel has similarly denied civilian casualties in multiple incidents, later acknowledging some attacks but describing them as accidental.
