“You can’t be talking of a Labour party without considering the OBIdient movement. I will not like to draw a distinction however there are distinctions you know. During the election, I had worked closely with the Big Tents and I also worked with the OBIdients, they are the engine room where they can make things happen for the Labour Party and we cannot divorce ourselves from them.”
Continuing, she said:
“ The OBIdient movement is arguably the most vital functioning part of the Labour Party, the engine room of the Labour Party. They are the ones that go to the street and make things happen, they are our foot soldiers, we recognize them, we’re happy with them, we consider them in decision-making, we know the role they play, we know their place in the party structure and hierarchy and we are very happy that we have that arm of the OBIdient amour in present-day politics and I’m working closely with them. We will engage them fully and effectively as we progress in the campaigns because we know the power that they carry.”
