Our attention has been drawn to promotional materials indicating that Ochendo Simon Okeke OFR has been designated as the Chairman of an upcoming event organized by your group. While my principal respects the objectives of every association that is commited to advancing Igbo interests, we wish to clarify that he was neither consulted nor did he provide consent for this appointment.
Chief Okeke wishes to also state that he recalls an initial engagement with your organization during a meeting hosted by the late Chief Mbazulike Amechi, where he understood the group to be focused on the advancement and defense of Igbo causes. However, since then he has not been involved in any activities of the group and not in a position to undertake any role in your forthcoming event.
Therefore, we kindly request that his name and designation be removed from all communications and materials associated with this event.
