The Oyo State Government has demolished a three bedroom bungalow in the Lako Community along the Aiyegun Anaye Road in Ibadan, allegedly used as a hideout by kidnappers connected to a high profile abduction case involving the family of former Minister of Power, Chief Bayo Adelabu.

The demolition was carried out on Monday by officials of the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, working alongside operatives of the Nigeria Police Force. The operation formed part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks and strengthen security across the state.

The victims, Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John Paul and her 12 year old twin sons, Peter and Paul, were abducted in the Elewura area of Challenge, Ibadan, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

It would be recalled that the incident occurred when armed men reportedly struck in the Elewura axis of Challenge, whisking away the woman and her twin children in a sudden attack that triggered panic in the area. The case later prompted intensive security operations, which led authorities to a suspected criminal hideout believed to have been used in planning or coordinating the abduction, culminating in the demolition of the structure.
