In a brazen move, a man with the name “Lawal Buhari” has declared doesn’t want to be namesake to the President anymore as he put up a public notice to effect a name change, Njenje Media News can report.
The notice that gained traction after a popular Hausa News Medium shared it, the man with a banner written in Hausa language wants the ‘Buhari’ in his nam removed and replaced with ‘Dan-Idi’ which means he now wants to be called ‘Lawal Dan-Idi’ henceforth.
It remains to be seen if Mr Lawal has any animosity or grievance against President Buhari that effected the name change but the comment by Facebook users linked his decision to that with some hailing him while others chastised him for the move.
