President Bola Tinubu has restricted ministers, ministers of state, and heads of agencies of the Federal Government to a maximum of three vehicles in their official convoys

President Bola Tinubu has imposed a limit on the number of vehicles that Ministers, Ministers of State, and Heads of Federal Agencies can use in their official convoys, restricting them to a maximum of three.

There will be no additional vehicles provided for their transportation. This cost-cutting initiative was announced today through a statement from the President.

He also reduced the Vice President’s delegation to five officials for international trips and 15 for domestic journeys. Furthermore, the directive mandates that ministers and agency heads can have no more than five security personnel, consisting of four police officers and one officer from the Department of State Services (DSS), with no allowance for additional security staff.

The President has instructed the National Security Adviser to consult with military and security agencies to assess and implement further reductions in vehicle and security personnel allocations. All officials impacted by these new measures must comply immediately, highlighting their importance.
