Val Ozigbo Hammers On Peaceful Conduct Of Nov 6 Anambra Gubernatorial Poll

Valentine Ozigbo, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, has harped on the need for the peaceful conduct of the November 6 election in the state, Njenje Media News report.

Ozigbo also promised a robust security architecture to ensure the protection of lives and properties of the citizens if victorious at the polls.

The PDP flagbearer, spoke when he recieved a delegation from the United States of America Embassy in Nigeria, who was in the state to discuss modalities ahead of the November 6 governorship election.

Ozigbo further disclosed his willingness to collaborate with the US delegation and other promoters of peace to ensure a credible and hitch-free process before, during, and after the election in Anambra.

The ex-Chief Executive Officer of TRANSCORP, appreciated the US envoys for their interest in deepening democracy in Nigeria and their productive engagement with political actors, reiterating promises to co-operate with the foreign team to ensure that the forthcoming election reflects the people’s will.

He also used the medium to call on opposition parties to give peace a chance and allow the will of the people to prevail in the coming polls.

The American delegation was led by the US Embassy’s Political/Economic Chief for Southern Nigeria, Brandon Hudspeth.

Others in the US contingent were the Security Chief of the US Consulate, Jim Suor; Political Officer for the South East Region, Briana Olson; and a political analyst, Arnold Abulime.
