US President Donald Trump has shared a video featuring a Nigerian cleric, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, who appealed to him to intervene over the killing of Christians in Nigeria.
Trump reposted the video on his official Truth Social account on Saturday, drawing fresh international attention to concerns over insecurity and religious violence in parts of the country.
The clip, which originally surfaced online about six months ago and later went viral, showed Reverend Dachomo speaking during the burial ceremony of Christians he claimed were victims of targeted attacks.
While addressing mourners in the video, the Plateau-based cleric made a direct appeal to the international community, including the United Nations and the United States government, urging urgent action over the situation in Nigeria.
He said, “Look at it today. Is there any Muslim here? United Nations, I know you are watching me. American Senate, you are watching what I’m saying here. Special Adviser to Trump, please tell Trump to save our lives in Nigeria. They are killing Christians in Nigeria — massacring Christians. If they say Muslims are being killed, by who? By Muslims.”
