Nursing mother joins hunger protest with three-month-old baby in Abuja

A nursing mother in the Federal Capital Territory who identified herself as Suwaiba Abdullahi has revealed why she joined the hunger protest with her three-month-old baby despite the risk involved.
Abdullahi decried the level of hardship in the country.
Nigerians began the #EndbadgovernanceinNigeria protest on August 1, 2024, to draw the attention of the government to the plight faced by the masses.
The nursing mother lamented that she brought her three-month-old baby to the protest ground because the hardship in the country was unbearable.
Abdullahi said, “ The hardship in the land made me come outside. The hardship is unbearable. Things are too expensive in the market. To feed is a problem and we say we have a government? The president must listen to the cries of the citizens.“
No fewer than 17 persons were feared killed in Abuja, Kano, Niger, Borno, Kaduna, and Jigawa during the #Endbadgovernance protest held across the country on Thursday.
One person was shot dead in Abuja and Kano, two were killed in Jigawa, six others were reportedly gunned down by security forces in Niger, while four died in Borno and three in Kaduna.
