He expressed relief that over 15 cases had been successfully treated across various camps, attributing this success to the swift action of health teams and support from partners. “I am pleased to report that we have successfully treated over 15 cases across various camps, thanks to the swift action of our health teams and the support from our partners,” Iorpuu said.
To prevent further occurrences, the agency has fumigated all the camps, including the Ikyogen camp. Iorpuu called on both local and international partners to continue their support in addressing the issue of snake bites.
In a positive development, Iorpuu announced that the World Bank would soon commence the construction of 50 units of shelter in Nyihemba, Kwande Local Government Area. Additionally, the agency plans to start IDP farm projects in Kwande, Logo, and Gwer-West local government areas shortly.
