Adeleke Confident Of Victory, Says INEC Has Improved

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ademola Adeleke, is confident of winning the Osun State governorship election.

He stated this on Saturday morning shortly after he cast his ballot at polling unit 9, Ward 2 in Ede North Local Government Area of the state.

“Big time,” the governorship candidate said of his chances to win the election. “Very confident. My people love me, Osun people love me.”

Senator Adeleke who arrived at his polling unit in Abogunde/Sagba Ede North at about 8:46 am was accredited by the electoral officials on duty at about 8:50 am after which he voted about two minutes later.

He met a crowd waiting in a queue at the polling unit but went straight to the front for accreditation and voting.

Asked why he jumped the queue, the PDP governorship candidate said, “You can see me, I love my people and that will not stop when elected.

“They asked me to come; my people invited me to go there.”

Speaking to reporters after casting his vote, he commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its efforts.

According to him, everything is going well and that has been the situation from the information he has gotten from other voting areas.

“I think INEC has improved. Whichever way, if they could not capture your fingerprint, they will get you captured through facial recognition, and that is faster. The turnout is very impressive,” said Adeleke.

On vote-buying, he said, “I hope it is not going to be like that because we want this election to be a point of contact for 2023. The whole world is watching us, and it is going to be a test case for us.
